Wick Voices – When War Came

To coincide with the launch of the Caithness At War trail on Saturday 20th April 2024, Wick Voices produced a compilation of audio clips from the Wick Voices oral history archive.

On the day, Lord Thurso, Lord-Lieutenant of Caithness, cut the ribbon and he laid a poppy wreath, as did representatives of the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy. Pupils from the three primary schools covering the Sinclair’s Bay and Wick areas were also involved as were representatives of the local Legion Scotland branch and members of Wick RBLS Pipe Band.
